Check of adjustment of headlights

Installation of headlights can be corrected keys with an internal hexagon at an open cowl. Adjusting screws, depending on a product, have different value:
On outer side (1) car at a product of Bosch firm: lateral adjustment; at a product of Valeo firm: adjustments on height.
On inside (2) cars at a product of Bosch firm: adjustment on height; at a product of Valeo firm: lateral adjustment |
Adjustment of headlights cannot change itself. But if a reflector or even all headlight were replaced, it is necessary to check installation of a beam of a headlight.
The adjustment also is surely necessary in case at accident the forward part of the car or after installation of new details of depreciation knots was damaged. Installation is carried out as follows:

- In the beginning put adjustment of range of light on "0".
- If only one headlight was damaged or replaced, at the beginning it is enough to park the car before a light wall, to turn on the light and then height of a light beam of a new headlight to adjust to height of a beam of the headlight which remained without changes.
- If headlights were regulated by means of the device in a workshop, you can note, for example, height of points of light on a wall of garage.
- Important and distance at which Audi costs from a wall. Make tags. By means of such marking it is possible always when it is necessary, to check adjustment of headlights for Audi independently.
- The most exact method of adjustment of headlights is, as well as always, an adjustment by means of the adjusting device, such what are, for example, at gas stations, in services of Bosch firm and in workshops.
- Adjustment of headlights of a driving beam and fog lights in a stroyenny headlight is established automatically if the passing beam is correctly adjusted.

Where adjusting screws settle down?
- Adjusting screws of a headlight are available at an open cowl from above through openings in lock metal.
- For rotation of the adjusting screw the key with an internal hexagon is used.
- At a headlight beam adjustment installation of height is corrected in the beginning. Only after it lateral adjustment follows.
